At 1:10, fifty minutes before the concert, a scholar will discuss the music to be performed in the concert, which places the music in a larger historical and cultural context. At 2:00 p.m., Music Director Theodore Kuchar leads the RCO in Martinu's Sinfonietta La Jolla and Mozart's "Paris" Symphony, and famed teenaged violin virtuoso Shannon Lee is featured in Paganini's Violin Concerto No. 1.
