Panelists will include some former Rhythmettes, John Ullom, B. Mahlon Brown, and possibly Senator Richard Bryan, all Las Vegas High School alumni (and cruisers, too). The Wildcat Lair was a teen club that was frequently the site of school dances, and entertainers such as Louis Prima and Keely Smith would come in between their sets on the Strip. The Rhythmettes were the first school drill team in Las Vegas and made their national debut on Ed Sullivan's variety show in 1963. For information, visit www.springspreserve.org. |
