Ulysses S. Grant, a Chautauqua portrayal by Frank Mullen Jr., is a Humanities on the Road Program hosted by Sierra View Library. Hiram Ulysses Grant was a failure in civilian life, but as a general he saved the nation and was twice elected its president. April 2011 marks the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War.
