In celebration of Black History Month, For the Love of Jazz presents an evening of music and conversation with John Handy, a former member of the Charles Mingus Band, and David Ake, Associate Professor of Jazz Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno. The event is open to the general public. John Handy is a Grammy-nominated composer and performer, with recordings spanning over three decades.
