Nevada Humanities Awards More Than $614,350 in Pandemic Relief and Recovery Grants to Nevada Organizations

In December 2021, Nevada Humanities awarded 60 grants totaling $614,357.92 to 44 nonprofit organizations across Nevada. Supported by the federal American Rescue Plan Relief Act (ARP), Nevada Humanities Relief Operating Grants and Nevada Humanities Recovery Program Grants help Nevada’s humanities-focused organizations prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Awardees have organizational missions that are humanities focused and/or demonstrate a commitment to public humanities or educational programming accessible to all Nevadans. Awards have been distributed to organizations representing all four congressional districts and statewide in Reno/Sparks, Las Vegas/Henderson, and rural Nevada.
In 2020, Nevada Humanities also provided $368,873 in federal CARES Act funding to 45 Nevada cultural organizations.
