Family albums are often treasured heirlooms preserving memories passed from generation to generation. They are the visual accounts of people’s lives in which time passes with each turn of the page. But for Las Vegas historians, the albums that made their way to UNLV Special Collections and Archives hold much more than the faces of residents past. They provide a glimpse of life in a new town in the desert. And they have, in fact, become the basis for how we visualize our city’s history. Snapshot is on display December 5, 2019 - January 23, 2020.
