African Americans have played an important role in the history of Las Vegas since the city’s founding in 1905. The Mob Museum will share more about the historical experience of local African American residents as well as the African American entertainers who graced Las Vegas stages. Learn about the challenges and discrimination African Americans faced in the early years, how West Las Vegas developed, how the Las Vegas experience compared to other Nevada towns and much more.
