Great Basin National Park is the only national park located entirely within the state of Nevada. Whether you have had the chance to visit in person or not, you can take the opportunity to connect more deeply with Great Basin during this year of celebration of Lehman Caves, which became a National Monument 100 years ago in 1922. Lehman Caves National Monument, later expanded to become Great Basin National Park in 1986. Great Basin National Park Foundation invites you to a Lehman Caves Virtual lecture series connecting you to the science of this amazing place. Sponsored in part by Nevada Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

At this event, delve into the underground and crawl around with pseudoscorpions, millipedes, and mites; explore how cave management has changed over time; and check out some mysteries of the cave that researchers are still pondering with Great Basin National Park cave scientist and ecologist Gretchen Baker.
