2019 Wild Nevada Artivist Gallery
The annual Friends of Nevada Wilderness Art Fair has its much anticipated return this July! The gallery will run from July 19th to the 26th and can be viewed Monday through Saturday, 10am-6pm at our headquarters. The gallery is free and open to the public. Art in the gallery will be available for purchase and helps support local artists as well as Friends of Nevada Wilderness’ mission to keep Nevada wild. Our office is located at 1360 Greg St. suite #111 Sparks, Nevada. Come and experience the story of our wild and scenic state!
Join us for the gallery kickoff on Friday, July 19th from 5-7:30pm! Enjoy live music, a showing of a short film "Under Review" by Kelly Todd, live music performance, and a meet and greet opportunity with the artists! There will be snacks and beer pouring from Imbib brewery.
On Saturday July 20th artist Fawn Douglas joins us to discuss how Art informs activist work and how this she has used this further her activist work protecting the Desert National Wildlife Refuge. Join us at 6pm at the Friends of Nevada Wilderness Headquarters!
On Wednesday July 24 photographer and intrepid volunteer Jeff Lock will join us for a photographic presentation of his work in Nevada's wild public lands. Join us for tips and tricks of the trade in outdoor photography and wild lands engagement!
