An in-person reception will be held on October 21, 2023, in Reno that will include a poetry reading from Confluence. The event is free and open to all. Confluence: Stream Science, Handwriting, and Urban Curbs is a six-thousand foot-long poem about water and land, is now being installed in Reno. The installation is now becoming part of people's lives, and maybe can contribute something to the traditions of landscape painting, earth art, artist's books, and urban design. Just under six thousand words and a bit over a mile long, Confluence describes a nature that exceeds our capacity to know it - and yet somehow we do feel we know it, perhaps because it is us.
