Nevada Reads In Your Library—Celebrate National Poetry Month! A Workshop in Celebration of Poetry

  • Carson City Library Executive Conference Room 900 North Roop Street Carson City, NV, 89701 United States (map)

Whether you write poetry or not, join local poet Melanie Perish and a small group of other curious people in April for National Poetry Month. This workshop will give you the opportunity to learn more about poetry, write some of your own, and share your work in a safe, supportive space while listening to the poetry of others.

This workshop will leave you with several new poems of your own, ideas for poems to try outside the writing workshop, and a chance to explore your own voice.

Writing supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own paper and writing utensils or a laptop and tablet if you are used to writing on one. Space is limited, and advance registration through the Carson City Library is recommended.

Free and open to the public. Learn more at carsoncitylibrary.org.

Nevada Reads In Your Library brings authors and literary programming to public libraries across Nevada. This program is produced by Nevada Humanities and is made possible with support from Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
