Nevada Reads In Your Library—The Natural Beauty of Poetry with Dustin Howard

  • South Valleys Library 15650a Wedge Parkway Reno, NV, 89511 United States (map)

This workshop will see poets explore concepts of nature and our relationship as humans with the natural world around us. The workshop will begin with readings of poems selected by the workshop leader to help inspire the group, followed by some pre-writing activities. Poets will then be given time to write quietly as they compose a poem. Poets who wish to share their work may do so in the final part of the workshop. In this workshop, participants will learn helpful brainstorming and pre-writing skills that they can use later to continue practicing the art of poetry. This workshop is open to people of all skill levels. Free and open to the public. Learn more at washoecountylibrary.us.
