Humanities at Play: The Space In Between with Hue

  • Twitch twitch.tv/humanitiesatplay (map)

Join us for a conversation with multidisciplinary artist and cultural worker Hue! We will play The Space In Between while discussing Hue’s travels to Vietnam to learn more about personal ancestry research, Asian diaspora, creating third places, and community, and more.

Hue is a cultural worker and multidisciplinary artist based in Las Vegas, Nevada, making places, spaces, and objects for love to flourish. Through this combination of participatory and observatory mediums, they engage with co-creating love through community by facilitating a modular community art space called the Cloud House. Other concepts they explore range from emergent behaviors amongst animals and humans within urban spaces as well as contemplations on the relationship between nature, soul, and space. Recently they were selected for the Desert Companion’s “2022 Ones to Watch”, and they have received grants through the Nevada Arts Council.

Humanities at Play explores and showcases the significance of the humanities in everyday life through games, media, and popular culture. Join us for dynamic and interactive online and in-person events designed to spark thoughtful conversation and reflection. Learn more at nevadahumanities.org/humanities-at-play.
