Join us for a reception at the Nevada Humanities Program Gallery in Las Vegas on Monday, September 25, 2023, from 5 to 8 pm. An artist talk will be held at 6 pm.

Heart/Land features pastel paintings by artist Sidne Teske that explore the landscape and environment around Tuscarora, Nevada. The paintings combined with figural works depicting the “inner landscape” bring the heart and land together—being human. The landscape’s stark beauty also shows the effects of its mining history that began in the 1860s and continues today.

The exhibition will be open to the public for viewing by appointment only Tuesdays through Thursdays from 1 to 4 pm and until 9 pm the first Friday of the month for First Friday events at the Nevada Humanities Program Gallery, 1017 South 1st Street, #190 in Las Vegas.
