Join us for this livestreamed event exploring the importance of news and media literacy, detecting misinformation, and learning more about media ethics with Alison Gaulden, Principal Lecturer for the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno. Alumnae and Principal Lecturer for the University of Nevada Reynolds School of Journalism, Alison Gaulden, APR, Fellow PRSA has been educating students in media ethics and public relations campaigns since 2005. She’s an expert at mentoring young people and public policy influence, grassroots advocacy, volunteer development, media relations, crisis communication and reputation management and health care marketing. She owns her own PR consulting firm as well as a garden consulting firm.
For more than 20 years Alison served the Public Relations Society of America Sierra Nevada Chapter in nearly every board role, including two stints as president, past president, and director of membership, professional development, and student relations. She entered the PRSA College of Fellows in 2021 and achieved Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 2014.
Alison received her MBA in marketing from the University of Phoenix in 2005 and her BA in Journalism from UNR Reynolds School of Journalism in 1992.
