  • Twitch twitch.tv/humanitiesatplay (map)

We are kicking off National Poetry Month with Dustin Howard, City of Reno Poet Laureate emeritus! We will continue our playthrough of Gris, a game about emotions, colors, and the stages of grief. Join us for conversations on poetry, creativity, writing, and more!

Dustin Howard is the former City of Reno Poet Laureate and a grant writer for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, with over a decade of dedication to nonprofit organizations and to telling the stories of people. He is the author of the supernatural thriller novel, Breakvale, three collections of poetry, and Every Day Poetry, a poem-a-day instructional poetry manual. He resides in Reno, Nevada, though his heart will always belong to the Ozarks.

Humanities at Play explores and showcases the significance of the humanities in everyday life through games, media, and popular culture. Join us for dynamic and interactive online and in-person events designed to spark thoughtful conversation and reflection. Learn more at nevadahumanities.org/humanities-at-play.
